Blink and you'll miss a week around here at the moment. Now I have started work 3 days a week time seems to be eaten up super fast! I finally found 5 minutes to come on here to write a blog post about Harris' birthday and realised I hadn't posted about him starting school either!!
On Feb 2nd Harris started school. He was SO ready and had been asking me since Christmas when he starts. He was up early and keen to finish breakfast so he could put on his uniform. I was not coping so well!
I was in our bedroom at one point of the morning when Harris yelled down the hallway, with a giggle "Mum, my school socks reach all the way to my school shorts if I pull them right up". As soon as I heard that I fell apart - my little baby!!!
I pulled myself together to take the must do, first day of school shots. Including the chalk board with what the kids want to be when they grow up.... Harris said on the morning, he would like to be a Scientist!
We all went off together and after a quick sorting of classes and welcome in the school hall, Harris happily wandered off with his teacher with not much of a look back!
Thankfully I was starting my new job on the very same day so I had something else to focus on and stop my blubbering tears!
We are now only 4 weeks away from the first school holidays of the year and Harris is well settled and in a great routine. "This school stuff is easy", he tells us!
He very much enjoyed being able to take cupcakes along to school last Friday to share with his class for his birthday. Army camo cupcakes!!
Harrison's actual birthday was on Sunday so, due to a night out Matt and I had planned, he got to wake up on his birthday at Grandma's house with his cousins and Aunty Julia & Uncle Anton there. Matt and I arrived around lunch time to one very happy little guy who had been building his new lego all morning long!
More presents were ripped open and we headed down to the beach for a swim before coming home for cake!
I then took a chance with him sitting still to ask him the birthday interview questions....
