Most of you who read this blog already know the 'story' behind this photo but there are a few who don't so I figured I'd pop it up to share as it's just too special!
Lining up for a long time in a noisy, busy shopping centre is no-ones idea of fun but add on a major sensitivity to these things and the idea of a Santa photo is NOT an option!
When I saw that our local shopping centre was hosting 'Sensitive Santa' sessions for kids and families with special needs I rang and booked a spot straight away. Two weeks ago I let Milla wag the morning of school, and I took all three cleansed, groomed and spritzed kids to the shops. We were running 5 mins late - because that's just how it goes for us, but it was a an absolute pleasure and a huge gift to our little family that others might not realise.
There was no stress or panic or meltdowns. In fact, Felicity grabbed Santa's hand, hugged him and when he sat down she plonked her butt right on his knee and hummed to him 'Jingle Bells'.
Sure, she is not looking at the camera but she was more than happy to be there and in no way was she looking for a door or exit as she might usually!
Felicity's last Santa photo was when she was about 2 months old so this is the first time we have been able to have a photo with Santa with all three kids and I found myself getting emotional from it all.
THANK YOU Rouse Hill Town Centre for the gift you are giving many families this Christmas!
P.S. Most of you will be getting a copy of this milestone photo in your Christmas cards when I finally get around to posting them!
