Mother's Day/Weekend!

What a way to be spoilt for Mother's Day! Starting with a surprise delivery of 12 long stemmed roses and some chocolates on Friday afternoon (which Milla was quick to claim she organised teehee)...
Then a glorious sleep in and lazy morning on Saturday before being spoilt with breakfast at Eden Gardens Nursery at North Ryde. After breakfast we had a wander through the display gardens and sculptures at the nursery to work off our pancakes, bacon, eggs and hot chocolate!
My gorgeous man cooked dinner for us on Saturday night then it was early to bed to be ready for the Mother's Day Classic 8km run that Julia and I did on Sunday. It was a rather chilly morning but we soon warmed up in the sea of pink in support of Breast Cancer research.
After the race we both returned home to spend time with our babies (and maybe even had a little Nanna nap) before being spoilt once again with a scrumptious dinner at the Peetz household made by Anton. What a wonderful weekend!!

Bonfire Night at Aunty Carley's

Last night we put on our winter woolies and headed to Aunty Carley's house at Pitt Town for the kids first ever Bonfire Night. Carley and Nath have been building the 'bonnie' for months with dead trees and bits of old timber from here and there and the pile was rather impressive when we arrived just as the sun was setting.
Fire-bug Nath lit it up just as the sun dipped below the horizon and all the kids were in awe as the flames went up!
Sparklers, pizza, light sticks, beanies, cousins, torches, gumboots, full moon, trailer rides, marshmallows & lots of giggles in the dark made for one memorable night!!
