Our new pets... all 2000 of them!

Today we officially became worm farmers!! Yay!!


Our 2000 new pets, named 'The Wriggles', and their new home arrived today. After a quick read of the instruction manual the farm was built and put next to our growing veggie garden and we were ready to let The Wriggles move in.



They are fussy little things. They like vegetable scraps, tea bags, coffee grounds, cardboard, egg shells, vacuum cleaner contents and hair from a hairbrush (ewwww) but don't like pineapple, saucy food, citrus or onions!


If we treat them well and keep them happy we'll have the perfect compost and 'worm tea' to help our vegetable garden grow for years and years!!

The Dragon Duo

A little burst of creative energy hit me yesterday while the little kiddies snoozed so I pulled out a tutorial I found a while ago and whipped up two Dragon Tails for dress ups. Once Milla and Harris woke they put their new tails on and had them on for the rest of the afternoon (including a trip to Church Point wharf to pick up Felicity!!)





Speaking of these two funny little beings I just have to share this little video I snapped last Saturday night. Move over 'The Carpenters' here comes 'The Costins'...
