Snap!

I couldn't help but share these photos..... As of tonight Harrison is sleeping in a sleeping bag rather than being wrapped up so after I zipped him into the sleeping bag he looked so very cute I had to snap a photo.
When I uploaded the photo to the Mac I had a funny feeling I had seen a similar photo before.....

Even the fingers in the mouth are the same for both Milla and Harrison!! - Spooky!

Now I've seen it all!

In the almost three years we have been living at Eastwood we have witnessed all kinds of 'interesting' driving - touch parks, no speed limit, taking no notice of pedestrian crossings... the list could go on. But today I saw (and took photos on my phone) the one to top the lot!!

Matt worked a half day so as soon as he got home I took Milla and did a quick trip down to the post office to send off some flags. I had turned into the street where the post office is and spotted a park just outside the door.... but there was a man in a white car trying (unsuccessfully) to reverse park just near by and I just got the feeling I was tempting a disaster to park so I decided I'd do another loop and give him a moment to finish his park.
When I came back around and was just about to turn right into the same street this is what I saw -

You might not be able to see it right but the man in the white car had somehow launched his car and ended up on the retaining wall and across the footpath!!
Obviously I did not turn down that street in the end.
By the time I had found a park elsewhere and walked with Milla to the post office there was a huge crowd of people looking on, two fire engines an ambulance and one very embarrassed man in a white car - yes still in the car!

Thank goodness I didn't park there but thank goodness more that no-one was hurt!!

Dad's Boy!

Another quick flick of Harrison having a chat and giggle with Matt - sorry the camera angle isn't great.. I had it turned on the side, whoops!

Oh and I finished Harrison's scraps blanket...

Onto the girls blankets next....

One of a kind travel blanket!

The girls seem to love taking a blanket in the car with them when we go out. We then have blankets being dragged everywhere and fights over who's is who's, and then poor Harrison has his blanket nicked so I decided I would make them all one each from my scraps. That way they have a designated 'travel blanket' so there can be no arguments.... hopefully.

Anyway I started making them today and started with Harrison's. I used any boy fabrics I had. Alien's, army, monsters, sailors, planes, fireman, cars, pirates, sneakers, trains, sharks, robots, trucks..... and anything blue. I still have to put the backing on it but you get the idea.

I plan to make Milla's out of all my girls fabrics and Fliss's from all the patterned fabrics - stripes, polka dots, stars, paisley's etc...

I'll post more photos as I go.

Happy Harrison!

Family Business

Matt was on the couch with Milla while she finished her milk before bed time and I was making dinner. I was waiting for water to boil so took the few minutes free to set up the sewing machine for a night of sewing. Milla heard all the commotion and came in to find out what I was up to...... she has always been in bed whenever I have sewn so had never seen the amazing machine in action and was so very excited to see it move and make noise right in front of her.....Matt snapped these few pics after I put Milla on my knee and sewed a few flags with her....... Maybe Giggleberry will be a family business???? hahaha

Sisterly Love!

No matter what Fliss is doing Milla wants to join in..... she always wants to be in the playroom when Fliss is in there, she wants to be in the shower when Fliss is, she wants to eat when Fliss does and even wants to take the potions and pills Fliss takes so I just had to snap these photos of the girls after Fliss sat in the washing basket and then didn't mind one bit as Milla climbed in too!
