After dropping Fliss off at the wharf on Sunday morning Milla, Matt and I headed to Chatswood for a bit of window shopping with the theory of looking at foldable high chairs for Milla. Our plan was to see the rough price so we would know a bargain when we saw one pop up on Ebay. But while wandering though Toys'R'us we came across a great one at half price and made a purchase there and then. It's a great one that can be easily attached to any chair - great for Grandparent visiting!!! We headed home for Milla's first lunch in her new big girl chair!

Smiles from Eastwood!
Another weekend and it's a cold one! All beds had extra blankets added this week cause our cold little house doesn't hold heat well at all. It's funny how you can fill a week then look back on it and not remember what you did with the time!

Both the girls are well and happy little souls and growing in leaps and bounds. Felicity's language has changed again - she is experimenting alot more with 'ou' & 'ow' sounds and much more open mouth noises, using them for getting toys and things from the shelf in the playroom - we have been working on 'down' and 'up' so are assuming this is what she is trying for and is extremely close to! She almost never wants to play 'alone' - always wanting someone to help her with puzzles or sing with her, socially this is fantastic! Milla had a big week too this week. She seemed to have a tired, sleepy day on Monday and then woke Tuesday talking her head off with her first bub, bub's, mum, mum's & dad, dad's! We won't be able to keep her quiet now - not that we would want to... it's very lovely hearing her little voice singing from her cot! Our girls are growing fast.......

The case of the missing mobile phone!

Sunday afternoon was the last time I saw my phone and hadn't obviously needed it again for the rest of the day 'cause I didn't think about it again until I heard it go off telling me I had a message sometime late Monday morning. It happened to beep while I was in the middle of something (must have been really important - but I have no idea what it was now) so I ignored the beeps and then once again forgot about it until I was packing the baby bag ready to do the food shopping and noticed i didn't have it.
So I looked in all the "where you just throw your phone" spots e.g. top of fridge, at computer desk, bed side table, and no phone! In fact I was sure I had searched the whole house for it and knew it HAD to be here somewhere as I had heard it earlier that morning. If our home phone was working i would have called myself just to find it! I was starting to think I'd just do the shopping without it when I remembered that the last time I had it on the Sunday was on the couch and thought for sure it must have fallen between the cushions........ Nope, not there either! I gave up!
Then another memory hit me.... Miss Fliss had been chillin' on the couch after dinner while we bathed Milla and I took a stab and searched her room........ sure enough tricky Fliss had stashed my phone behind the mirror in her room - she got me good!
Oh and I am now out of credit so if anyone was 'pocket dialed' it was just Fliss saying hi!

The Costin's have recovered!
Fingers crossed that's the end of the flu for us this winter...... After Saturday of sick sleepy people I thought I had beaten it but I woke up Sunday with a headache and sore throat, no where near as bad as Matt had been 24hrs earlier but bad enough for us to pull out of this months volunteer meeting that was planned for that afternoon. We had another slow day and took it easy! By the time Fliss was ready to head to Tanya's for the next few days she seemed to be better too - but grateful for the slow day!
Monday rolled around and Matt was feeling great again, Milla's runny nose seemed to have dried up and I just had a tiny soar throat that was feeling pretty good by the end of the day!
We have still taken it easy for the week anyway just doing the odd bits and pieces like food shopping, a bit of Giggleberry sewing, and posting of a few things we've sold on ebay - the ladies at the post office are getting to know us and they have named Milla 'Dolly' cause they think she looks like a doll. I can't get two steps inside the door without one of them announcing 'Dolly is back' - Milla is a celebrity - very cute!
I thought I add the pic of Milla cause I thought it's the perfect one to show that we are all recovered and beaming again!

Quiet, sick household!
It's Saturday afternoon and a cold one at that. Winter has arrived and sadly bought the flu with it.
I have a family of soar throats, heavy heads and runny noses. Matt woke up feeling crap and spent the morning on the couch with a headache so I fed Milla her morning tea and put her to bed then took Fliss to the shops to get some much needed warm clothes that actually fit. When we got home Milla was just waking up so another feed then both her and Fliss fell asleep on the couch - RARE I know!!!!
Fliss is too heavy for me to carry to her bed so I left her there with a doona on and then put Milla back in bed.
So I'm sitting in the kitchen (pretty much the only room left with no one in it) taking the opportunity to catch up on all things quiet so everyone can sleep! - blogging, Giggleberry, Ebay, sipping tea and just general floating about the internet... fingers crossed I'm not next with the dreaded bug!

4 day working week - time flys!!
Can't believe it's Friday already! this week flew.
Monday being a public holiday doesn't count so starting with Tuesday this week we had a nice quiet one at home so Milla could sleep off her big weekend and I took the opportunity to sew, sew, sew for Giggleberry and Tuesday night as you all have probably read was the girls night out. Luckily Milla did sleep lots of Tuesday cause Wednesday was a run around day - food shopping, fabric shopping, posting and picking up Auntie Erin (who was still carless) to stay over for the night. Milla is starting to show signs of a bit of a cold so another restful day at home before picking up Felicity in the afternoon.
Friday I think needs to be named "Girls Day" in our home as Matt heads off to work and the three of us girls spend the day together! it was a gorgeous sunny day with just a cool wind so I caught up on all the washing - it's sad how good it feels to have it all done - lots of playroom action, walks around the block and just generally hanging out. The photo I've added I love! I caught the girls giggling together over lunch to a private joke and had to snap it!
Both the girls get so excited when their dad walks in from work and then it's all action again with baths, showers and P.J. time before finally crashing out.... Ready for a big weekend!

Girls Night Out!
We have been counting down the sleeps for this one! Sex and the City - The movie.
It was Carley's birthday gift from Erin and my Mother's day gift from Matt, a La Premier movie session with the girls.
All kids were tucked into bed and sleeping soundly and we headed off to see "THE" girly flick of 2008!
This pic is the before shot cause the after shot would have been one of puffy red faces with lines through our make up from the tears - happy and sad ones! It was a GREAT movie and a definite DVD purchase!

June long weekend!
Ahhhhh a long weekend - gotta love it! We had Fliss with us all weekend so it was playroom action all round. Milla loves her big sister and gets so excited having her at home that Friday's are turning into 'it's too exciting to sleep' days for her so Saturday was a much needed sleepy one.
Matt started the day with a playroom session with Fliss while Milla slept and I quickly popped out to post some Giggleberry stuff. Once I was home I took over from Matt in the playroom and he recorded a bit of it - we plan to use it for a volunteer meeting we have next weekend.
The rain had finally stopped for the first time this week so we took advantage of it and took both the girls for a walk round the block, the park was a bit too muddy to go to this time.
The day seem to come to an end pretty fast and before we knew it Felicity was dragging us into he kitchen wanting something to eat so we cooked everybody's dinner and had an early one before both girls were showered, bathed, P.J.'ed, and into bed!
Woke up Sunday to a wet one but a great one so far cause Fliss slept in!!! til 7am!!! Another day of playroom fun. Felicity returned to Tanya's house at 7pm then the rest of the Costin's road tripped to Grandma's at Avoca for Sunday night and long weekend Monday with Grandma and the Peetz Family.
It took a bit of Panadol and some cuddles to get Milla, who is a bit blocked up to sleep then mummy and daddy weren't too far behind.Public holiday Monday was a day full of cousin action with Josephine and Oskar with lots of singing, toys and more cuddles from Aunty's, Uncle's and Grandma. We headed out for brunch at Yum Cha in Erina.... YUM! and a bit of a window shop but otherwise just took advantage of the day off and read the paper, chatted, played games and just generally took it pretty easy!
A yummy warm dinner and a loaded car and we headed back home late-ish to miss long weekend traffic with a sleepy girl in tow.

The Costin's are Blogging - look out!
So we got rid of the TV and have finally got our selves organised and built a blog...... never say never right? We thought it was great idea for family and friends to see what our little family is up to with............... well everything - I've added links to Fliss and playroom youtube videos and information, Amy's Giggleberry Creations, Matt's work and I'm sure I'll find more to add as I blog along.....
I'll try to add to it a little each week with pics of all our happenings and our girls growing up..... this being my short and sweet first one with an appropriate pic I thought, Enjoy!
